Group snaps up online tech retailer Ebuyer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Frasers Group has acquired online technology retailer Ebuyer out of administration.<\/p>\n<p>The digital marketplace, which sells CPUs, motherboards, laptops, televisions and monitors, will join Frasers&#8217; growing portfolio, which includes Game, Studio Retail and Sports Direct.<\/p>\n<p>Ebuyer was snapped up via a pre-pack deal this week after it faced a winding-up petition over the weekend from its landlord Urban Logistics Acquisitions 6 over unpaid rent.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebuyer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">retailer<\/a> had plunged to an operating loss of \u00a31.8m in the year to 31 December 2023, down from a pre-tax profit of \u00a3104,000.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n\n\t\t<div stated the market for electrical products and components had &#8220;declined further\u201d after its sales fell from \u00a3174.2m to \u00a3136.5m.<\/p>\n<p>The etailer continued to struggle financially in the years that followed despite a wave of cost cutting and staff layoffs.<\/p>\n<p>FRP Advisory partner Tony Wright said: \u201cFrasers Group has an established record of successfully taking retail brands forward and unlocking their potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEbuyer is a recognised name in the consumer technology space, and this transaction provides a platform it can use to reestablish its position as one of the UK\u2019s largest PC components retailers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frasers Group has been contacted for comment.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a
