{"id":203659,"date":"2026-04-30T08:44:57","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T07:44:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.retailgazette.co.uk\/?p=203659"},"modified":"2026-04-30T08:44:57","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T07:44:57","slug":"estee-lauder-takes-minority-stake-in-luxury-skin-care-brand-111skin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.retailgazette.co.uk\/blog\/2026\/04\/estee-lauder-takes-minority-stake-in-luxury-skin-care-brand-111skin\/","title":{"rendered":"Est\u00e9e Lauder takes minority stake in luxury skin care brand 111Skin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"73\" data-end=\"249\">The Est\u00e9e Lauder Companies has taken a minority stake in luxury clinical skin care brand 111Skin as it sharpens its focus on science-backed beauty and treatment-led innovation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"251\" data-end=\"420\">Founded in 2012 by plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Yannis Alexandrides, 111Skin was originally developed to help accelerate patients\u2019 healing following procedures.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"596\">The brand now sells more than 30 products, led by its Black Diamond and Reparative collections, and is distributed through luxury retail, ecommerce and high-end spa channels.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"598\" data-end=\"760\">Its stockists include Harrods, Bluemercury, Nordstrom, Mandarin Oriental and Aman, while its direct-to-consumer business accounts for around 20 per cent of sales.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"762\" data-end=\"946\">The Est\u00e9e Lauder Companies president and chief executive St\u00e9phane de La Faverie said skin care was entering \u201ca new phase\u201d shaped by the convergence of procedures, longevity and beauty.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"948\" data-end=\"1056\">He said consumers were increasingly looking for products that deliver \u201cvisible, treatment-inspired results\u201d.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1058\" data-end=\"1362\">\u201c111Skin exemplifies this shift, translating Dr Alexandrides\u2019 more than 35 years of surgical and aesthetic treatment experience into high-performance luxury skin care inspired by in-clinic treatments and built on clinical insight, next-generation actives, powerful formulas and proven efficacy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1364\" data-end=\"1531\">In 2025, North America accounted for around 40 per cent of 111Skin\u2019s sales, while the brand also has an established presence in the UK, China, Europe and Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1533\" data-end=\"1691\">Following the investment, Alexandrides will remain actively involved in the business and will continue to lead 111Skin alongside its existing management team.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1693\" data-end=\"1861\">Alexandrides and co-founder Eva Alexandrides said: \u201cWe are thrilled to be partnering with The Est\u00e9e Lauder Companies and to unlock an exciting new chapter for 111Skin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.retailgazette.co.uk\/newsletter-sign-up-retail-gazette?utm_source=Website&amp;utm_medium=Article&amp;utm_campaign=SignUp\">Click here to sign up to Retail Gazette\u2018s free daily email newsletter<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Est\u00e9e Lauder Companies has taken a minority stake in luxury clinical skin care brand 111Skin as it sharpens its focus on science-backed beauty and treatment-led innovation.
