H&M Group\u2019s new chief information officer Diego Teijeiro Ruiz has officially started in the role, following his appointment earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Teijeiro Ruiz joins the fashion giant from Zara owner Inditex, where he spent two decades in senior technology and data roles.<\/p>\n

Most recently, he served as global chief data and analytics officer at the Spanish retail group.<\/p>\n

Confirming the move on LinkedIn, Teijeiro Ruiz said: \u201cAfter 20 years at Inditex, I feel grateful to every person I\u2019ve worked with along the way. I\u2019ve learned so much from all of you.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for your trust, kindness, and support. Tomorrow, I begin a new adventure at H&M Group with excitement and great respect for everything the company represents.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo my new colleagues at H&M Group, I look forward to meeting you, learning from you, and working together.\u201d<\/p>\n

The move comes as Inditex continues to expand its UK retail footprint, with Stradivarius and Pull&Bear opening neighbouring stores at Meadowhall in Sheffield.<\/p>\n

The launches mark a Yorkshire first for both brands and take Inditex\u2019s presence at the shopping destination to more than 70,000 sq ft, adding to its existing Zara and Bershka stores.<\/p>\n

Pull&Bear has opened a 13,000 sq ft store on Meadowhall\u2019s Lower Level High Street, featuring menswear, womenswear, teen clothing, accessories and footwear.<\/p>\n

The shop includes the brand\u2019s latest design concept, aimed at creating a more contemporary retail environment and improving the customer experience.<\/p>\n

Next door, Stradivarius has opened a 9,000 sq ft flagship store showcasing its womenswear ranges.<\/p>\n

British Land retail leasing director Richard Crowther said: \u201cStradivarius and Pull&Bear are compelling additions to our retail mix.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey enhance the breadth of our fashion offer and again prove Meadowhall\u2019s regional dominance, with two more Yorkshire debuts for international brands.<\/p>\n
