Nestlé UK and Ireland has appointed Ben Duncan as managing director for its Food division across the UK and Ireland.
Effective from today (13 April), Duncan steps into the senior leadership role at the consumer goods giant to oversee a portfolio that includes brands such as Maggi and Carnation, taking responsibility for driving growth across the food category.
He brings more than two decades of experience within the business, having joined Nestlé’s Purina pet care arm in 2004.
Duncan began as a category manager in the UK before moving to the Netherlands in 2011, where he led sales and marketing for Purina’s specialist channel.
In 2015, he returned to the UK to head up the specialist and ecommerce division, before later taking on a broader Northern Europe remit in 2020.
Most recently, he served as head of marketing for Purina’s Northern Region from January 2024, focusing on brands including Felix, Winalot and Edward Baker.
“I’m really pleased to be stepping into the role of managing director and joining the brilliant team in our food business,” said Duncan.
“Our trusted brands play a key role in everyday meals for families across the UK and Ireland, and I’m excited to build on that trust and put consumers at the centre of everything we do.”
